Thanksgiving has come and gone and now we are only 20 days away from Christmas! CRAZY!! I am slightly prepared but as I sit and think more and more about it... am I Really?? Braylon will be getting older each year and I feel I will have to step up the game a little to make sure presents stay secrets and things are fun and unspoiled. Yikes!! This is my last (lets just call is) "lazy" year of Christmas for a long time! The last week or two have flown by! We had a lot of fun spending time with family over Thanksgiving and of course stuffing ourselves silly! Braylon ate his fair share of carbs over the weekend for sure. He really loves his mashed potatoes! Although we are getting to the stage where travel can sometimes be a head ache we really do love our time making memories.
The life of this momma is about to turn into some longer hours and crazy schedules but lucky for us it should be short lived. This time of year with two large holidays makes for a lot of traveling staff and a lot of extra hours. I do enjoy getting in the classroom though! Can you believe that baby number 2 is already 27 and a half weeks along! Still a very active little guy as I am sure he will continue to be during the last stretch. We have yet to agree on a name but have a few in mind. It may be a secret until he arrives... if we can keep it that long or maybe we just won't agree on one by then! This pregnancy is by far much different than Braylon's. It started off rough with a couple solid months of a very BLAH feeling and has now turned into an annoying vein issue that results in me wearing some very tight compression leggings. The second, and tighter, pair are on order now. According to the doctor if this next pair does not work then I just deal with it as there is not much I can do for it while carrying a child. In the end though I am sure it will result in a common vein surgery after pregnancy. Oh and the fact that this will more than likely be the same if not worse with our next one (if there is a next one!). The things we go through to get the mommy status ... YET every single part of it is totally worth it!
Braylon is continuing to amaze us with his speech and sentencing as well as comprehension! Its like a little light bulb clicked in there and he is a none stop talking machine. We truly could not love it more! Although the slight attitude that is also arising we could easily deal with out. Ha!! All in all we cannot complain on his temperament or behavior. To us he is PERFECT (most days!!).
I think we are all looking forward to Daddy's two weeks off this Christmas. The week of Christmas and the week after. Not to mention a week of daycare so its an extra special daddy week with a few special mommy days too. We love our extra time with daddy! We are really hoping that mommy, daddy and Braylon have the patience and skills for some potty training too! Cross your fingers!
