First family vacation

This past weekend we went on our first true vacation since Braylon was born. We headed up to Whalan, MN for a weekend away for the Gamm Family Christmas. We rented a cabin there as middle grounds. The cabin was beautiful and we are already talking about going back next year now that we are a little more prepared on what to expect. The are was nice but there was not much to do in a town with a population of 63! We took off a Friday (of course the weather was horrid) and came back Sunday (again HORRIBLE weather). Braylon did great in the car rides there and back but while we were there he ended up getting a pretty yucky cold. He slept fine at night but had a hard time napping during the day. Poor guy! In fact he is till trying to kick the cold today! He did great over all and the family loved seeing him! Lets hope he travels this well for every trip!

The largest pizza I have ever seen and we ordered 3 for 7 of us.
The waitress could have spoke up and warned us!
We ended up taking almost 2 whole pizzas to go!
Love for Grandma and Grandpa!
Cousin Marlie and Braylon!
Cousin Izak and Braylon! Izak loved that the paci was open.
He really thought it was cool to put his finger on the inside as Braylon was sucking on it!
Some Braylon love for the Wisdom's!

Catching up with Braylon

Braylon is growing like a weed! Everyday we pick him up from daycare it seems he has made some sort of physical change. His expressions are really starting to come out. He is smiling and has the occasional true giggle. He is really starting to notice certain voices and sounds too. Nothing melts a mommas heart as much as him find you as you speak and then smiling! We have come to the conclusion he is a real mommas boy! He gives his daddy such a hard time sometimes but the minute momma gets him he is fine. Little STINK! Day care is also going great. He has fallen in love with Amy and has really enjoyed spending his days there. Makes both Andrew and I so happy that his days are filled with love and smiles! We are officially growing out of our 3 month clothes and into the next size. Like I said, I swear he grows so much every day! He has also started showing a little more personality. We are really excited to watch him grow into a little person of his own. He is still very much in love with his fuzzes and will occasionally suck his thumb. I used to think this would be horrible since I sucked my thumb and it was a horrible habit to break. Then I realized he sometimes self-soothes when he is fussy or sad. That part of it is very nice! I am sure there is so much more to share but my brain has come to a road block! Ugh!

Catching up with Kara and Andrew!

It has been hectic couple weeks getting into the swing of things! There is no doubt about it, Iam back to work and things are as busy as ever! We are opening up our third class room this coming week and unfortunately with it being in the middle of the year a good teacher is hard to find. So on top of my assistant directors position I will also be the lead teacher in the Turtle room. I will be working with 3 year olds which is a little new for me but I am sure it will be just as fun! My schedule is bound tone crazy and chaotic but while at work I actually do not mind having all the commitment. It keeps me busy and makes me feel like I am accomplishing things and helping! I am excited to get to know all my new friends and be back in the classroom, even if it is only for a few months. Andrew has been keeping busy as well. His first graders keep him on his toes and he has been a HUGE help around the house as we get in to the routine of being parents and having less time for the little things. He has also been doing some baseball work with the younger kids. It takes up some time but he really enjoys being able to be a leader and help teach the fundamentals to all our up and coming baseball stars! Other than the crazy life of being parents we have not had much change. We love all the moments are little guy gives us and try to spend as much time as we can with him!

What a week!

This week has been quite n adventure for all of us! I officially started back to work this week. It was sad but we survived. Due to some things at daycare it was a little off. He went to daycare M/W/H, stayed home with Grandma Fenstermaker Tuesday and Daddy on Friday. This next week we will be in a routine that is a little more "normal".

DAY ONE AT AMY'S

He had a great first day! He has been the king of cat naps the first couple months but once we got started in daycare we found a few good tricks to help him sleep and he has done wonderful! He is taking roughly about a 2.5 hour nap in the morning and early afternoon. He is also still sleeping about 8 hours each night. We are very spoiled! I also made it through the first day with no tears. Lucky for me there was PLENTY of stuff for me to do at work to keep me busy!

MOMMY SURVIVED DAY ONE TOO!

Our big guy has also made some milestones these past couple weeks! He is smiling so much more now. He still is a little stink about looking at you but when he does he will usually smile for you! He loves being talk to and will usually give you lots of smiles for that too! He has switched to medium flow bottles, he is eating 7 ounces now, and he is doing much better with spitting up! We recently switched his formula again and it has seemed to help! He also is paying much more attention to his surroundings and even held on to his rattle to shake, shake, shake! (well, more like just normal movement but with sound!) He is also making some giggle/cooing sounds! He is getting so big, too fast!

We also had our two month check up. He has grown 2 inches and gained a little over 3 pounds. He is now 25 inches and a little over 13 pounds. The doctor said we have a healthy boy! He got three shots...which he was not a fan of! Daddy thought he was not going to breath as hard has he was crying. Poor Guy! He got over it quick though which makes a mommy and daddy feel much better. After such a hard and mixed up week we are all ready for a nap and some good family time which includes LOTS of cuddles!

2 Months

Our big guy is already 2 months! Where has the time gone!? Only a few more days at home its back to work for me. :( I love my job but I love my time with Braylon....I wish I could have the beset of both worlds. I know once the days get going it will be easier and become more routine but I just don't want my days with him to end! Ugh! We are going to go chat and hang out with his day care provider this afternoon and get things already for Monday. He is going to love Amy just as much as his mommy does...probably more! We are so very lucky and blessed to have her as his provider! So excited for the memories he will make there!
