Minnesota Fun!

This past weekend we made a trip up to Minnesota for a late Christmas get together with all the Gamm's. We had so much fun being little fish in the pool, playing at this awesome indoor play area and spending time with cousins! The boys were wiped out but some how managed to stay awake on the entire ride home. Needless to say bed time cam early Sunday night ... for everyone! We can not wait to do it it again! 

St. Patrick's Day!

We LOVE St. Patrick's Day in the Fenstermaker house! Our Sneaky Leprechaun, Lucky, was all over the place. He colored our milk green, wrote on our bathroom mirror with toothpaste, made a mess all over the floor and left us some gold too! We made a final attempt to catch him but instead he left us more gold and skittle for breakfast! No wonder the boys love him! 

Goodbye February ... Hello March!

Hello and happy Monday! This Iowa weather is really throwing up some curve balls this past week or two. We have been lucky enough to get outside some days and get creative inside when the weather is not as cooperative! This last week we were actually under a tornado watch. Instead of a tornado (thankfully) we were sent some rain, wind and even a short down pour of hail. The boys that it was pretty funny and cool after the fact. While I was doing something (likely laundry or maybe one of those rare bathroom breaks with out kids) they got sneaky and planted themselves on the trampoline. The hail was there bouncing away with them! Sneaky devils .... with cold toes I'm sure! The night gave us yucky weather but it allowed us time to create and build. Something they are getting better at (with less help from or Andrew or I). Check out this awesome marble track! PS... this {silly} momma decided to bust out the bag of marbles that was once Andrews.... I swear there are like 20 marbles running across that floor! 

Just this last weekend Brekkon ended up running over a 103 temp on Friday. It came out of nowhere and only lasted 24 hours. Weird! After a day cooped up in the house and a still a little sleepy and grouchy we needed a breath of fresh air! We headed to the Raptor Center and visited the "big birds" as the boys call them. Their favorite.... the "Balded Eagle". We even came across this great view! Afterwards we took a quick stroll to the Amana's (maybe our new favorite spot to hit up when we just need to go somewhere) for s piece of chocolate and some cream soda! 

Yesterday everyone was back to themselves and feeling better! We made our morning trip to church, learned all the ways we praise God and how they were the same ways people did even in the very beginning! Our favorite .... MUSIC!! Both boys came out of small groups with new shakers too! With the sun shining we knew we had to take advantage of it. We hit up a new park just down the road from church and it was a huge climbing structure. Great for balance work! A huge bonus .... there was a coffee shop across the street that mommy and daddy hit up! WIN!! It will likely be a stop on many future Sundays!
