Bath Time

From the get go Braylon never really liked baths! He was squirmy and long and just didn't fit well. I gave in of course and started showering with him. It was never an EASY task but it worked and he was happy! Well the bigger he got, the more he squirmed, the harder it was to shower with him. One day I thought I would attempt a kitchen sink bath again(for like the 100th time it seemed) and to my amazement he LOVED it! By bath two he was a champ at sitting up' and playing but most of all KICKING! We had water EVERYWHERE! He is starting to realize there is another side to the sink and this last bath he tried jumping over. Too curious for his own well being! BOYS!!

Real foods!

We are starting to try some "REAL" foods.....and to no surprise he LOVES them! This little mesh thing is the BEST!!!

Bananas! Although bananas may be hi favorite they are the WORST for making a
slimy mess and it is so hard to clean out of the mesh holder!

Watermelon! His little gums were not strong enough to chomp any pieces of but he loved the juices. I later tried blending up some watermelon and mixed them in with pears. From what daddy said after changing a dirty diaper...they went right through him piece by piece! We may wait for more watermelon pieces!

Watermelon juices! Again, he was not strong enough to chomp it through the mesh but this was much easier then me holding a a piece and getting all sticky!

We are hoping to get in for his 6 month check up in the next week or so and see what out doctors thoughts are on real foods like crackers and such! If I remember right from his 4 month check up he told us he should be able to eat just about all we can as long as it is at his consistency! So far I think B has been ahead of the game when it comes to food....so hopefully he can start trying more things! We have also come to the conclusion he would much rather be in control of his food then us!

Braylon was way too big to be hauling around in his carrier.....he is officially in a big boy seat and absolutely LOVES it! He hated his carrier and screamed every time we had to put him in it. Now he just doesn't care! He looked HUGE in the carrier and now looks like a little peanut in the new seat!
Braylon tried some veggie mum mums this past week and of course loves them, it is food! Check out his food face!

So like I mentioned the kid is rte ally starting to roll. I laid him down in the middle of the blanket, went into the kitchen to start the hamburger, came back out a couple minutes later and he was stuck in the leg of the coffee table! HA!
We recently went to a few garage sales and found this awesome toy for $5. It is a leap frog tow that has a spinning wheel with all the letters of the alphabet and a n animal for each letter. All you do is spin and t tells you the letter, or the animal, or both (depending on what setting you have it on! Braylon LOVES it!!!!!! He was squealing the entire time we were walking through the garage sale. BEST $5 spent!

Recently Braylon has mastered the straw! Sadly, this means the zippy cups we did have for him he no longer likes. :( One day I let him have my Camelbak water bottle and since then he goes bananas for it! He is a water sucking machine. We recently got him a new zippy cup with a straw that he loves!
Daddy has been teaching him some computer skills....more like Braylon is trying to help daddy but pushing all the wrong keys!
Braylon has found a new love for standing!! Give him something to hold onto and he could stand forever! SO BIG!!!

Puppy Love

Braylon is really starting to notice Diezel and grab for him. Diezel has hi moments of jus twitting close by and letting it happen and other moments where he chooses to ignore and walk on by! I love the happiness and pure joy that Braylon has for him!

I barley was able to get the video started before he was rolling over! He finally rolled over again exactly two weeks after he did at daycare. Sadly, he did it for daddy and he had to be a stink and send me the video! I was so mad, but when I got home Braylon rolled over twice for me! It was an amazing moment!

Where to begin!

The Fenstermaker's have been busy! I know your tired of hearing me say I should post more often....but I really do need to! Over the past week or two we have all kept very busy! Andrew has been working on some outside projects like small landscaping areas, prepping the shed for painting, and trying to get the yard back to good! We have been here almost three years and it is still a work in progress from when it was just not cared for and kept up with when the house was rented. I must say it is finally starting to come around and the grass is much greener and fuller! He has also been getting ready for the upcoming start of baseball. I must say I am a little more excited for it this year since Braylon will keep me company at games, or maybe drive me bananas:). He is also getting anxious for the end of the school year and from the sounds of it so is the entire class! I have been keeping very busy at work trying to still do the jobs of two people. It keeps me busy but sometimes I feel like I am not getting things done. :( We are coming up on the end of our "school" year and are preparing for graduation! It seems crazy to think we have had our second location open for almost a year now. Time flies! Braylon has been the most busy of all three of us! He continues to grow and learn so much every day! He is getting so good at grabbing things now and of course shoving them into his mouth! He has officially learned how to make raspberries and does it ALL the time! He is also a pro at rolling form his back to h is belly but still has a little bit of a hard time from his belly to his back. I was sad to see the video didn't post! He just amazes me every day with the new things he can do! He will be 6 months into short weeks! Our little family is loving life! We are blessed!

5 month fun facts!

This time we did the measuring and weighing at home...may be bait off but either way this boy is getting BIG!

HEIGHT - 2 foot 3.5 inches
WEIGHT - 17.6 pounds
SLEEP PATTERNS - morning nap (2-3hours), afternoon nap (2-3hours), night (10+hours). Lately he has been waking up a couple times in the night. At first we thought maybe teeth ...but nope. The doctor thinks that he is hitting some growth spurts which can cause their bodies to ache a little and to send their brain int o over drive which can wake them up at night. He is usually a happy trooper though and most of the times with a little love will go right back to sleep!
EATING PATTERNS - 8oz bottle(6:30am), oatmeal w/fruit (7:30am), 8oz bottle(11:15am), 8oz bottle(3:30pm), a container of stage 1 baby food(5:30pm), and a 9oz bottle (7:30pm). Then off to bed with a full tummy at 8!
LULLABY - He still listens to Pooh Corner every night. We read a book then turn on the music and cuddle for a few minutes then he is such a big boy and goes in his crib and outs himself to sleep!
BOOKS - We have been reading a book every night and he is really starting to look at the pictures and starting to grab at them. He even got mad the other night when the book was over! I could read to him all day long!
TOYS - He is really starting to grab EVERYTHING and it goes straight to his mouth! His favorites lately are the water toy animals that are supposed to be for bath time. Right now they are just for chewing!
LIKES - FOOD! This boy loves his food! He has gotten so much better at laying on his tummy! He loves to chew on anything and he has become quite the little chatter box!
DISLIKES - Baths, the boy is still taking showers with me and it is getting harder and harder with all his wiggling! Hopefully he will be sitting soon so we can put him in the bath with the supporter sitter! Peas! Green beans! I would have to say he is a pretty happy content baby for the most part! He does not really like to get dressed and definitely does not like to wait for food. He still has an issues with evening but his grumpiness has improved 150%.
SIZE - He is still in size three diapers and most tops are 9months and bottoms are 6-9months. He is fitting perfectly in a size 2 shoe, although not for long I am sure. We just packed away all his NB-6month clothes....who would shave thought we had so many! A special thanks to all the hand me downs!
AS ALWAYS - still a momma's boy and still loving lots of attention!
OTHER - Daycare continues to be a huge success and he loves all the Piercy's! We love that we have them in our lives and we are so blessed to have B there everyday. No one else I would rather leave my child with! LOVE!
MILESTONES - Braylon rolled over at day care on March 28th.....TWICE! Andrew and I still have not seen it but we are so thrilled it happened. Now to catch it on video! B found his toes and fingers and continues to be amazed that they are there. We are starting to move into stage 2 foods and he is getting better and better with his sippy cup! He is also working on sitting! He would still much rather be sitting up or standing so sitting may come early for this boy! Also in the last month he has had his toes in the grass, went on his first Easter egg hunt, and had his first tractor ride with Papaw Fentstermaker!
LOOKING FORWARD - rolling over and catching it on video, sitting up, trying new foods, and maybe a signs of a first tooth sometime?!?! We are also looking forward to seeing family this weekend and sharing our amazing little man!

B continues to amaze us each day with all the new things he accomplishes and how much he is growing! We are so blessed to have this miracle in our lives. We are 2 very happy parents and couldn't love life as parents any more! Thanks for keeping updates on our family! It is so fun to share our moments with all of you!
