OH WHAT A DAY!

Happy Sunday evening! What a day in the Fenstermaker's home! We started the morning great with a trip to Starbucks (our weekly family treat/tradition on Sunday before church)! I took a gamble on a new flavor .... peppermint white chocolate .... and it was a win! Church was great! We had volleyball at one and a great friend come watch Braylon....then it went down hill! It actually started on Friday night-early Saturday morning when Braylon had a fever of over 101. Needless to the say the fever has not really gone away. Tonight we were still at 100.5. Now going back to today.... we were having fun, playing volley ball AND out of nowhere Andrew is on the ground and clearly in pain! WHAT???? He takes the side and we play the next set as he determines what is wrong. The ball is dead and our only other guy teammate is on the ground holding his ankle. SERIOUSLY!?!?!?! We ended up calling the game and taking a trip to the quick care. There we sat for a good hour and a half while the doctor determined and made calls to see if the ER was needed. All the while my not so healthy child is being a ROCKSTAR and hanging out with us as we try and figure out what is wrong. In the end it was a trip to the ER where we heard lots of great stories and saw many interesting people. Non of these stories would be at all funny since they are there for what could be a serious injury but at the same time..one injured husband (meaning baby) and one infant with little to no sleep the people seemed to amuse me. I am HORRIBLE! The people next to us were being told they would not get there "person" back because they needed to stay the night so he/she would not harm them...???? There was an over sized lady walking in with all her mid section hanging out (on purpose) as she grabber her from belly...??? One man came in with a friend who was clearly not himself and was shaking a red bag at the nurse saying git was pills and booze and his friend needed help now.....??? Then there was a man called and three people got up to go with him and all were sitting alone in different sections of the waiting room....??? Many were just odd......??? After an hour wait and a quick visit with the doctor Andrew is scheduled to go in for an MRI or ultrasound to determine the severity of his ripped if not completely torn achilles tendon. Not to mention our other player is in a boot and crutches with a possible fracture....WHAT A DAY!!!

On a side note......well I don't have one! Ugh! Lets hope this week goes better!

We made a visit to Nana and Papa's and Braylon found a picture of himself.....what better to do than kiss it!

Braylons new favorite thing....drumming on ANYTHING with ANYTHING!!!

Airplane rides!!!!!!

Daddy was outside working and all Braylon could do was sit and watch. It took (what seemed like) hours to finally pull him away from the window!

Our first attempt at chili...he was not a fan!

Almost a month!?

Seriously....TIME IS FLYING! It has almost been a month since I posted! I am letting you all down! SORRY! Here is a lithe Fenstermaker update...

Andrew and Kara ~ Andrew is officially back in the classroom and this year has proven to be one of his more difficult! With a new curriculum a few new additions to the schedule and a class full of chatty and non affected kiddos he is getting a run for his money. He has been working hard and long on the new curriculum which means later nights at school and a cram session before bed. Once he gets in a little further to the year hopefully the time spent on school stuff will slow down....until they change things again that is! Other than the stressful new school year he has joined a weekly mens slow pitch softball team! He is a little out of practice (he won't tell you that!) but is loving the guy time he is getting with some local buddies! I have been working really hard doing lots of other peoples jobs and not so much my own. Between short staffed and staff having time off I have been in the classroom a lot more. Although it has been enjoyable the stack of "things to do" on my desk seems to be getting bigger and bigger. It means I have been putting in longer days and getting less down...how does this work! Andrew and I also have joined a co-ed volleyball team for the next few months! It should be lots of fun as soon as I can get back in the groove of the game. It has been too long! Of course on top of that we are parents ... and to a 10 MONTH OLD! AAAHH!! I am already pre planning this big 1 year event for him! I know its a bit early but I think I may be a little bit excited and yet so very sad at the same time! That leaves us to Braylon! HE is full of fire more and more everyday! He has started some fun new tricks (check out his 10 month fun facts!) and some not so fun! We have finally ordered his 9 month pictures - a little late but none the less they are ordered! As for a whole he is doing great and growing like a weed! Sometimes it makes me so happy and excited then I think he is growing right out of being my baby and it makes me sad!

Thanks for keeping up with us even when I can't keep up with us myself!
