Fenstermaker Update :)

It has been a fun week here in the Fenstermaker household! We have really been enjoying as much time outside as we can. Braylon loves the outdoors and would rather be in his swing or on a walk over any type of indoor play. The minute he gets fussy all we have to do is go outside and his attitude changes a complete 180! It is really great because come summer we are going to hit up as many of Daddy's baseball games as we can! There is never much new in Andrew and I's life! WE have had one major block in the road this past week with our condo. There was a pipe broken in the bathroom that is causing damage to all three levels. WHAT A MESS! Since it is a condo and we own ours but not every part of the building there are water lines that are ours, water lines that are grey area, and water lines that are management property. So much to deal with but luckily I have a great husband who is able to deal with all the fun stuff of being rental owners! If all else fails we pay our deductible to cover everything which looks like between all three floors could be thousands of dollars! THANK OU INSURANCE! Braylon has had a fun and exciting week though. Since our last post we have tried peas....it was about as big of hit as the green beans! Take a look at his first taste...

Braylon also had a fun visit with his friend Lucas this past weekend....we wore them out shopping!

Lets not forget about his new toy....THAT HE LOVES!

We also tried a zippy cup for the first time...i gave him a drink and then let him just have it! If you do not know Braylon...HE LOVES HIS FOOD! I think he thought it was food because he was SO mad when he couldn't figure out how to get it back in his mouth. After a couple days of trying it he is getting better at figuring out how to use it and he realizes mommy is just putting water in it to help wash down his abby food for now! Oh boys and their food!

The dreaded GYM!

It is time for this baby weight to go!! I am tired of wearing the same select pants EVERYDAY because I WILL NOT buy new ones! This week Andrew and I decided there were no more excuses. Since our evenings are already short between loving being a parent and the everyday things we decided on mornings. The plan is to go three mornings a week to start and see if we can throw any evenings in! We stuck to it this week but man is it hard to get up at 530am! Let's hope by our little vacation in July I can wear a swimsuit! :)

Not So Sure?

Thinking it over?!?!

Nope! If you could hear a picture you would hear gagging!

We ended our evening veggie adventure with sweet potatoes...and a happy baby!

Wedding book

It has been well over a year but after much time putting it together and waiting patiently for shutter fly to have a sweet photo book deal .... our wedding book is done! Our 40 page book only cost us $25.oo to make and send. :)

Green Beans

Tonight we introduced green beans....they were NOT a hit. I wish we would have had the camera to get his reaction. He had a few moments of smiles then he would realize what he had in his mouth and just go blank. He even gagged a little once. I am going to be a mean mommy and try them again tomorrow. If all else fails we will wash them down with apples like we did tonight!

Phew ...

You would think I would learn to post more often so that every time I get on here I am not writing a book! Well the past seven days have been beyond busy and too many hours of work for one week. I was lucky enough to get off early on Friday which turned out great! I picked up B and we came home to a new toy!

Needless to say he loves it! I have a feeling he is going to be very outdoorsy. He loves our walks, his swing, the grass and just being outside in general. I am really looking forward to the days we can spend a whole weekend outside just playing! Andrew managed to find some time to update our bathroom cabinets this week too!

All in all it has been a good Spring break week! We also headed back to see some family this weekend and headed to Uncle Danny's benefit. Braylon was able to meet lots of new people and catch up with some he already knew. Danny's benefit also was a huge success and we are looking forward to his recovery and fast healing! Braylon has had quite the weekend with travels and messing up his routine. He has been a trooper though! Needless to say we had a few short naps this evening including one with Diezel! Who could ask for anything more precious!

Happy Spring...or should I say Summer!?

What a crazy year we have been having! Andrew and I were just talking and curious what the Spring/Summer will be like this year since our Winter was so mild? We are really hoping that we will not have a season filled with lots of storms and tornadoes due to all the crazy weather changes......like tomorrow being close to 80 degrees! We were not prepared and do not have much Summer wear for Braylon yet so we were looking through some things and ran across a one piece jumper outfit that was 12 months. We tried it on and needless to say...IT FIT! It was a little big around the belly but length wise it may only get one or two wears out of it. Our guy is going to be one tall handsome man when he gets big! This week we are really struggling with solid food feeds and coming down with a routine that will work best for him as he grows and transitions to bigger food and then on to table foods. I have done some research and am talking with a fellow mommy to see what others have done. So far I have come to one conclusion...THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY! This is both a blessing and trouble for me. I know I can not mess up but I am also not sure if what I am doing is best. Ugh! I wish we mommies could grow a handbook in our bellies that told us all about our babies and it would come out with the baby! HA! Now that would be great!

As for Andrew and I ...we are staying busy! It is Spring break this week for school so Andrew is running around trying to get little things done both at home and school that we just can't seem to find the time for any other day/night of our weekly routines. Spring break is also taking place at my job but instead of a week full of catching up I am on a week full of 10-11 hour days filling in for all the vacationers and sick staff. Its already been a long week and its only Wednesday! Other than good ole school stuff I think we have finally found our Church of choice. This coming Sunday will be week four we have attended and each we we leave saying "that was a good service". Its nice to be able to find a Church that fits our needs and our style. Andrew also knows one of the Pastors from his hometown church and with our community being full of young and outgoing families we have ran into a lot of people we know and many students we have had. Another plus....we promised to allow ourselves a coffee every Sunday morning for church :) After this week I am really looking forward to the Starbucks white chocolate mocha....MMMMM!

Hope your all able to enjoy some of this wonderful weather! We have been on a walk each night we can. Braylon loves the outdoors! I even stuck his cute little feet in the grass tonight. It was nothing to him! Have a great 8o degree day in March tomorrow!

Sweet Potatoes

We have read online about when and how and what to do when introducing foods to your baby...there are no rules and the doctors can not tell you what to do either so since B is eating a ton seems hungry still after bottles we figured Dr. Seuss' birthday was as good as any day to start! From everything I read online (and yes I know they are no experts or all true and factual) they say it is not necessary to start your child off with a cereal. So we tried sweet potatoes!

Size 3

We have been waking up to a wet baby and crib this past couple weeks. Not every morning but more often than not. It may have something to do with the massive amounts of fluids the chunk drinks! Our day care provider suggested putting him up a size in diapers at night because they would hold more at night, not to mention he is already in the 12 hour dry diapers. (ha ha) Well, last night was night one in size three and this morning.....WET! Goodness!
