Today is MY day!

Today I sit and think the phrase…..why and then in response say I will. It seems common enough to ask yourself why and to say I will but to me, today it is a whole new idea. A whole new meaning. The world is ever changing before us. Just with in 48 hours there are small bombs, a couple hundred hurt and some dead. Things can change over night, with in a day, with in an hour…..in a split second. I need to stop asking myself why and just find the will.

Why can’t we be debt free….. I will enjoy the freedom I have and the ability to work and pay what needs to be paid. It will pay off. I will live with lees wants and focus on the needs.

Why can’t my child sleep in on a Saturday morning …I will enjoy the extra hour or two of time spent with him that some families spend sleeping.

Just a couple of the things I find I have asked….simple wants, or so it seems! I will not focus on the why and the negative, I WILL focus on what I can do to make each day more memorable than the last. To wake up each day with an I WILL attitude and strive to find joy, laughter, love and peace in what it means to be me. To be a mom, a wife, a women, a daughter, a grand child, an employee, a friend, a boss….a person set on this earth to live the thing we call life and to enjoy it! There is no promise of a tomorrow for everyone only yesterday and right now. The world and its people are showing us everyday that there may not be a next for me and I refuse to let it sink me into living a life of why?  I may be having a mid-life crisis or maybe I am finally coming to terms with the fact I can be a better everything and there is no time like today to do it. I want to love, live and enjoy what has been given to me and stop worrying about the why. Well……today is my day! I will love more, play harder, smile often and let it ride! Don’t wait until it is too late……:)

He he

Happy outside feet

Enjoying every bit if outside time we can!

Flippy flops!

We have a pair of hand me down flip flops we tried out this week .... He was not a fan of them the first time. There was definitely kicking and screaming. Second time we friend to wear them ... Even worse!! Now I know why!! They dig into one of his ankles. :(. This is what happened one day after coming home from daycare and really only walking to and from the car. Poor guy!

Outside maniac!

This is what happens every evening we have to come in from outside play time. I recently told Andrew we need to move to a barefoot, warm temp outdoor living environment where we can pretty much live in the outdoors! This makes me happy he loves to be outside but hard when this is the reaction every day!!! What will summer be like!!!

Had to get right down to her level and be like her...he is loving any 'baby' these days!

Loves to PoP the eggs open....after a few tries he has finally realized he can pop them by biting down on them Fun for him but not so fun for mommy and daddy after pulling half an egg out of his chocking mouth! Ugh!

Still not so sure....

Spoiled by Mamaw and Papaw at Easter. We love the new books!

A little family soccer or keep away from the dog!

Loves to say CHEESE for the camera!

Mall Of America...checking out the rides

After a few different rides we have come to the conclusion....he is not a fan!

Sawyer time!

Help me mommy!!!!

The MN Children's Museum had a sweet room where you could be on TV as a rockstar!! Too fun and B loves to dance and play the guitar...perfect or him! (and daddy too!)

SUPER DUPER EXCITED to be playing in the water WITH balls....he could not contain his joy! This is by far my most favorite picture!

Little stinker trying to get his diaper off.....wish it meant potty training way early but it just means he is a stinker!

Cousins!

Water...water...WATER!!!!

One of his new favorite things to do is get wrapped up in his shark towel and run around the house growling (his shark noise!) It can be a bit difficult to get him dressed when he is having so much fun!

First attempt at bath crayons!

New music room at the IA children's museum ... He loved it!

Piano duet with Ms. Maya!

My Easter boys!

FIrst time dying eggs. We opted for a shaving cream and food coloring experience. He was NOT a fan of the mess even when we tried stirring with a spoon. Maybe we should have stuck to the regular drop and soak way!

Yep....not a fan!

He did love the eggs though!

Leaving the Easter Bunny a treat!

Woke up on Easter morning to a mess of eggs on his floor!

The Easter bunny laid a trail of eggs right up to his basket. Helping him out a little this year. Next year he may not be so lucky!

A special vist with Great Grandma Gamm

Slacker...that's me!!

It has been awhile friends since a real post with updates! I seem to do really well for awhile then not so well! Well here goes....bare with me as I am sure there is much to inform you on...it has been a busy month!

BRAYLON - is growing like a weed! He is definitely a solid boy like his mommy and tall like his daddy. (sorry for my generous trait buddy!) He will be a big 17 months this week. It is amazing how time seemed to fly before a child and now its like super speed. I feel like we just brought him home. Along with the gods we find the not so goods. Braylon was recently diagnosed with cough induced asthma. In one sense it makes me feel relieved that we finally know what is making him have cold like symptoms ALL THE TIME but on the other hand sad that he may be on treatments forever to help keep it in check. We are hoping he will out grow it as he gets bigger as the doctor said most kids do. With the diognosis he was put on Singular daily to help keep the symptoms from flaring up and to get him off of the neb treatments so often. Happy to say it the meds worked over night and he woke up symptom free. He has been on the meds for about two and a half weeks and in that time we have noticed some emotional and behavioral changes in him. He more or less was a hot mess all the time. Mommy could not leave his sight let alone his side most days, at daycare he was becoming a bully and all around just throwing massive fits for what seemed like silly or even no reasons at all. I made a tough call to take him off and just 'see' how things changed. Over night all his symptoms were back and he has been on neb treatments over the past few days but my sweet, happy, loving little guy is back!!! Although I know the meds did help I WILL NOT put my child in a constant 'hot mess' just so I do not have to wipe his nose. Poor guy! WE have a doctors appointment tomorrow for the next step. I am open to new treatments as long as the side effects do not occur. Cross your fingers!

KARA - Sadly enough I feel nothing changes for me! Life as a mommy is....well life as a mommy! I stay busy, try and make sure things stay good on the home front and do anything I can to make our little guy smile and laugh! I have been attempting to go to the gym but after a short spring break trip .... I have failed again! I need MOTIVATION..... like someone scary ( clowns...yikes) chasing me ...that could get me going! I am hoping for warmer weather soon so we can get outside for walks and bike rides and park visits. Bring on spring/summer! I have also been reading the Mortal Instruments series for a little me time when I can. For those of you who do not know.... I am a total sic-fy geek. I loved Harry Potter, Twilight and Hunger games. I like to read into worlds that would never exist in mine but realistically could since they are so secretive. This new series is all about demons and special people called shadow hunters that protect normal people like you and me from seeing the bad everyday. They could exist...right!!! :)

ANDREW - is busy, BuSy, BUSY more and more each week. He has officially worked his way back into the Maytag groove. He is working every Saturday morning for 3-6 hours doing what he does best....fixing things! He is a hard worker just like his dad and we thank God we found someone so willing and able to help provide for us. He is truly a rock in this path we call life! Along with Maytag, running the tutoring program at his school and the every day hassles that school work brings baseball will be starting up at the end of the month. He has already put in some time working on schedules and work outs and games as well as the things I may have forgotten. We love the months that Daddy is home in the evenings with us but when baseball season comes we can see how much he loves the sport and the joy he gets out of it. Braylon and I are hoping to see at least a game a week this summer...it is our goal! Our tech savoy daddy also got put on iPad control at his school. It gives a little extra work to him but we all know how much he loves to show off his technology skills and prove to people he knows best! :) He secretly loves to do things like that!

As for our family fun over the past month.... we had a few days with out daycare so Braylon got to spend a special day with Mamaw Fentstermaker. They did a little shopping and had a fun afternoon of playing together. We cherish those time he gets a little extra! We also had some special family time over the past couple weeks celebrating Easter. Braylon has become a pro at egg hunting. Although he has less stranger danger fear these days he is still not a fan of mommy and daddy just walking away! I think he just loves us that much. It was great to visit all his great grandmas on my side and get a few extra snap shots in! He was definitely a spoiled Mr. over the holiday and made out like a bandit. We would have been perfectly fine with less gifts and just the family time but I guess grandparents need to spoil! We also took a short trip to MN to see my sister and the kids. Braylon and his 2 year old cousin Sawyer had some extra hang time when we visited the Mall of America Nickelodeon Park and the MN Children's Museum.  We could barely get Braylon away from the water area at the museum! Also this past month we got to help celebrate our baby cousin Landen's special baptism day and have a special play date with Ms. Maya at the local IA Children's Museum. March really gave us a lot to be thankful for with all the time with family and friends. Although it was crazy we wish we could have this much fun all the time! WE have one more special family trip coming up in May when we travel to OH too see Granny Fenstermaker and help her celebrate her birthday!

I know it was a long post...hopefully there are not too many typos! Stay tuned for some fun snap shots!
