This sweet, feisty little boy has been stealing the birthday spot light for almost a week now! Turning four is a big deal, don't you know!?
We kicked off the celebrations by inviting a few friends for a special trip to the PlayStation. For anyone who doesn't know what the PlayStation is ... it's a three story jungle gym with far too many slides, tunnels and holes for this momma! Ha! The boys are finally at a great age where they just go and run and play and the set up is perfect ... one way in, one way out! They had a blast running, sliding, getting lost and playing games for a couple hours! Best part!? Andrew and I managed to come up with our weekly grocery meal plan in between checking on them and attending to needs! I call that a win! We rounded out the trip with pizza and fries then headed home for cake and cupcakes! So. Much. Fun!!!!
By Friday it was time to celebrate at school with some delicious Paw Patrol Cookies from a local baker. They are AMAZING! He loved, loved, loved passing them out and sharing them. So sweet!
As we approached this current weekend we had made plans to visit an indoor water park with family. Not a birthday weekend plan but lucky for him it fell perfectly and did land on his birthday. We spent yesterday and today riding slides, playing water basketball and splashing around with their cousins Avery and Myles and even shared some cookies and birthday donuts too!
... And today, this very day four years ago our little family grew by one making us a family of four! Tonight we celebrated one last time with his favorite for supper .... chicken legs!
This boy melts our hearts daily with his sweet, kind soul! He also drives us bananas with his fierce independence and stubbornness! His heart pumps for all things tractors, construction and tools! He has a smile and those big blue eyes that make a mommas heart melt and a room shine brighter! His energy is boundless! His imagination is untamed! But most importantly his love and kindness is part of the reason the world is a good place!
Happy birthday to this little soul and all the wonders it has yet to share!
