Big boy!

This handsome guy turned one last week and he had a hard time dealing with it! The poor guy spiked a high fever at his birthday path and just wasn't feeling the big day. He managed to stay awake for a very unhappy hour to say a grumpy hello, try his cake and watch his brother open most his gifts. Poor bubs! We followed up on his actual birthday with special cupcakes and he just didn't dig in to his supper or cake like usual and caught a quick nap after dinner ((this never happens). Lone be hold ... Another fever! Ugh. I was beginning to think he just did not want to give up being my baby! A lot of days home with him and big brother being sick and a quick antibiotic our (not so) little ball of spunk is back to his normal silly self! He sure does melt a momma's heart with that mischievous smile! He is classic second child and breaks all the rules while laughing and of course the attitude...and we thought big brothers tude was big! :) No matter the ability he has to make me rethink a third one down the road, he makes my heart happy and I love him more than anything!!!

Some Brekkon fun facts...

He weighs in at 24lbs and 31 inches. He is in size 3 shoes, size 4 diapers and size 12-18 month clothes. He loves to say momma, pester Diezel, runs mad with big brother, he gives the best hugs, says hi to everyone, waves bye-bye, plays peek-a-boo, hates good byes and drop offs anywhere, has no fear, loves food but has mommy's sweet tooth, loves to brush his teeth, loves his paci and fuzzy, does not drink a bottle :), hates to have shoes and socks on, not a fan of the snow, wants to talk but just can't (he points and holds his hand out while he loudly grunts and makes facial expressions as if we are supposed to know what he is trying to say) hast 8 teeth and even tried out his use of dinnerware tonight! He did great! He is too big, too fast!

My babies aren't babies anymore! As a parent I need to remember to let it roll and just have fun! They won't want to play super Heros with you forever, they won't want to be rocked to sleep or have story time in your bed.  Let them be little and enjoy the love and passion they share in their everyday loves! ( this should be played in my mind every day and night, it is SO easy to forget!)
