Andrew is healing well from his torn Achilles. He continues to go to physical therapy every couple weeks but is in a regular shoe and at 'normal' day to day function. If you ask him he will tell you his leg is a joke! Ha! He has recently been trying to go up on the ball of his foot or on his toes and he can not even leave the ground. We knew going in to the process that the muscle and strength recovery would take time and patience but to him it is just not going fast enough. He has made many comments that he will not be playing rec sports again. He does not want something like this to happen again. I keep telling him to toughen up and that it was pure accident it happened in the first place! Along with his recovery he is still teaching and has had a a student teacher over the past couple months. It is interesting for me to see him "let go" of the classroom a little and to see how much it bothers him when he comes home to share the stories. He may not believe this but he is a great teacher to the 1st graders and his college students who come into the classroom through the year. He just has such high standards! All and all he is doing well and enjoying the day to day life of being a daddy and husband - which may we say he is VERY GOOD at!
I have been keeping busy with long work days and what seems to be shorter and shorter evenings. I hate how fast time flies! We have been short staffed at work so I am on double and sometimes triple job duty. It seems these days no one wants a job - well at least the responsibilities that come with it. I have had plenty of interviews but since they are all college students they will not (and yes they said they will not) work the 5 week break they have off over winter. SERIOUS!!!! Who needs 5 weeks off! Where are these adults/kids ethics, responsibilities and adult hood in general! I worked through high school and through college! Maybe too many parents pay too much for their children! It just amazes me! On top of some crazy work hours I have been playing volleyball on Sundays and now will be playing Wednesdays. It is a nice time to get away and do something I love with great people!
Braylon has been growing like a weed.... everything but his hair! HA! He has been having ear infections after ear infections so this Tuesday we are scheduled to get tubes in. I am curious to see how it changes his walking/balance and hopefully his hearing! He has selective hearing just like his daddy. :) He has found a new love for being naked and hates even more to get his diaper changed. I occasionally will let him run around naked before bed and he is in heaven! He has also found more of his silly side. He loves playing actually playing with you know and teasing too! He is becoming quite the little ham. He recently had his first turkey dinner and of course loved it. There is not much he doesn't eat.
